Technology Transfer Office

The Technology Transfer Office set up within the Center for  Innovation, Technology Transfer and Grant Affairs in 2006 to attend ELTE’s tasks relating to innovation, cooperation with businesses and technology transfer is responsible for facilitating the exploitation of the research results produced by the University by acting as a bridge between the University and industry. 

To this end, it must:

- maintain and develop the strategic partnerships established by the University with large companies, SMEs, public and not-for-profit organisations;

- prepare and maintain the strategic partnerships built with large businesses;

– attend the institutional level central tasks relating to the development of a regional knowledge centre and the provision of knowledge services (conferences, corporate exchange programmes for professionals, regional developments, CV databases);

– participate in – in cooperation with the legal and economic and finance units – the creation of the necessary legal, economic and organisational conditions of the implementation of innovation activities;

– provide assistance to submitting applications for funding and implementing projects (e.g. Regional University Based Knowledge Centres (RET), Large Scale International R&D Projects (NAP), Cooperation Research Centres (KKK)) in the field of innovation and encourage the establishment of spin-off companies and knowledge transfer enterprises;

– operate a central secretariat for intellectual property rights (Secretariat of the Invention Board);

– explore the economic exploitability of research results produced by the University (in the field of science, IT or the humanities) in order to improve the innovation potential of the University, and provide assistance to researchers to exploitation or finding industrial partners, if needed;

- facilitate cooperation with SMEs, public and not-for-profit users;

- perform the tasks relating to incubation;

- liaise with domestic and international innovation offices and organisations (Hungarian Association for Innovations, PROTON Europe, ASTP, ISPIM

We put an effort into making and updating the knowledge map based on our researchers' publications, inventions, R&D contracts, and the themes of the proposals they apply.
The TTO organizes different programmes to make our researchers familiar with their rights and obligations regarding the IPR.

SIMpLe project launched
